誰說里歐納德只會防守，那就大錯特錯了！連2年獲選年度最佳防守球員的馬刺前鋒里歐納德，昨拿32分、7籃板、2助攻、4抄截、5火鍋，且0失誤的豪華數據，帶領馬刺96比87擊潰地主灰熊，更搶3勝0敗提前聽牌。

兩隊第4戰明天續在灰熊主場進行，馬刺只要再贏，就是隊史第9次在季後賽4連勝橫掃對手，不過昨天這1勝，完全歸功里歐納德的全面爆發，末節包辦13分的他說：「當壓力降臨，我只想提升自己的執行能力。」

昨天也是「石佛」鄧肯的個人紀錄夜，儘管他只打14分鐘，拿6分、3籃板，卻是他的季後賽生涯第154勝，追平「天勾」賈霸的史上第3紀錄，距離史上第2的荷瑞只差1勝，季後賽史上拿過最多勝的球員是161勝的費許。

不過比起前兩戰平均輸給馬刺29分，灰熊昨天努力撐到末節才吞敗，本季他們用了創紀錄的28名球員，可見灰熊傷兵嚴重程度，要不是馬克蓋索、康利兩大先發主力提前報銷，或許灰熊還有機會可跟馬刺一較高下。

灰熊昨又折損替補前鋒賈瑞馬丁（左腳受傷），如今只剩10人可用，灰熊總教練耶格卻不打算輕易放棄，更稱讚自家球員：「我們所有人都帶著心打球，這點無庸置疑。」灰熊昨以查克藍道夫20分、11籃板表現最佳。

不只馬刺搶先聽牌，騎士也靠「三劍客」詹姆斯、厄文與洛夫得分皆破20，以101比91力拔活塞，同樣3勝0敗聽牌，詹姆斯說：「我想目前我們3人狀態奇佳，當我們清楚個人與團隊該做什麼，其他球隊很難擊敗我們。」
